Hello again all, Every time Rockin Horse was called i was either, drunk, VERY DRUNK, or wasted. The only thing i was fit for was picking up rockin horse droppings. Does anyone remember the A.B.C.bar just down from kittys in 1970-72?. the owner was called ROSA, and fit as a butchers dog. [it was a love thang] her hubby was a BIG fella, Happy days, fondly remembered. Bye yall. big grin

Hello all. since my last visit to the site,i have found some great Berlin related sites, with loads of photos of spandau prison , wavell bks, Herr strasse, and all places dear to me.on reading all your comments one theme is constant That is how wonderful the people of Berlin are they must be to have put up with us Brits for so long. All your tales are great even the ones of the R.M.Ps whos only job in Berlin was to stop ME getting drunk,HA-HA. joking boys.

Served with British contingent on Teufelsberg from 1969 to 1974. Had great time there and really enjoyed working and socialising with the American contingent. Was a member of one of the American ten pin bowling teams, used to play in the Friday night league, at the 26 lane alley. Visited the old place five years ago, shame to see it rotting away.!!!!

Served twice in Berlin from 74-78 and then again from 83-85 with the 42nd MP Customs and 287th MP Company. What a wonderful experience. My wife grew up in Berlin so we had family there. I enjoyed so much the food, comradship and everything about the city back then. Our company won the "best MP company honors" for the entire Army for the year of 1985. I am still in contact with friends from Berlin and hope to travel there again.

Spent 2 marvellous years at BMH Berlin 1983-85. Was then lucky enough to go to the other end of the corridor, and spend 2 years in Helmstedt, as the RMP medic.
