Hello all. Served in the U. S. Army Berlin Brigade from spring of 1972 until summer of 1973. I was an APC driver.
Still have fond memories of my time in Berlin and serving along side the British and French. Stationed at Mc Nair Barracks |

Hi,
I was posted to 1 Kings in Wavell Barracks as a vm REME, in 1989. Staying for the handover to 1IG and leaving in 91.
A great time was had especially with 1 Kings who I applied to leave Berlin with, and who sadly lost some very good men from B Coy the following year in NI.
Apart from the wall coming down, and the other obvious ones, the other memories are of greasy joes chip van, gyros kebabs and that hut/ bar thing we had on the lake where we used to do "adventure" training/drink/bbq. |

I was stationed with 766th from Jun 1988 until June 1994 as the last First Sergeant for the 766th. Berlin was the best kept secret in the Army. Great assignment. |
