I was in Berlin from May 76 until Nov. 78. I was an ammo bearer for a T.O.W. gunner, Spc. Blake Scott from Deleware if you're interested. I made so many friends there and I've missed them over the years. So Rodney Hatfield, George Renaud,Benji Carasco, Wally Golliday, Olin Harris, Bill Dyer, Spc.Tuck, or anyone from those days, if you read this feel free to e mail me. Berlin is and was a wonderful place. smile

Any one remember the 955 Com RASC (Berlin Car) in Berlin 1947. They had their workshops under the Radio Tower (Funkturm) and the N W D Radio station was on the opposite side of road We were housed in an apartment off of the now Theodor Heuss Platz . The cookhouse was on the corner and was once a bank on the other side of the road was the NAFFI We were mostly conscripts and maintained the cars in a huge museum type building. I am 79 Floyd (Bristol)

Just arrived back from Berlin, 1st time since 1986. So much has changed, especially around check point charlie. Still a fantastic city and many fond memories returned from the past. Go back and visit as soon as you get a chance.

I was stationed at Wavell Barracks for 2 years from 1981 to 1983, serving in the 2nd Bat Royal Irish Rangers Band. Like everyone else says, two of the best years of my life. Long hot summers and cold crisp winters. Keep intending to go back!!! One Day.
